2017 Autumn Leaf Presenter - Stephen Dorsett (from Salt Lake City, UT) - "Thunder in the Mountains"

The Sound of SP WS 54 Denver disptacher calling Santa Fe 102 East 991 train or the sound of Talking to the BKDOU Oil cans. Disptacher to the cans you have enough power to make the hill. Yes sir all motors functional. Station names like Quntico, Sand Cut, Bena, Caliente, Bealeville, Rowen,Woodford, Walong, Marcel, Cable, Tehachapi, Monolith, Cameron, Warren, Mojave. Places that well seasoned railfans would and will know spending time on the SP Mojave sub. Watching Tunnel Motors All of SP's EMD fleet and the new additions SD 70M's and AC4400 on Coal trains. The Santa fe with the superfleet warbonnets and the constant run of Intermodal on the mountains. This photo journey will show the sounds and smells and images of hardworking trains from the Southern Pacific and the sante Fe, we will later look at the UP and the BNSF on this mountain railroad division. The SP Gone but not forgotten. This is a retrospect of all of my travels for the last twenty years of Tehachapi.
