Three Generations of Railroad Photography - Harry Lange: First Contact
Three Generations of Railroad Photography
Harry Lange: First Contact
The first in a trilogy of presentations showcasing the evolution of railroad photography spanning 68 years and three generations. We begin with Harry Lange, a typical hardworking family man and his first contact with the world of railroads in 1945. We'll follow him through his black and white photography of steam and diesel on the New Haven in Connecticut, and expand into the New England area with his views of Boston & Albany, Maine Central, Erie, and New York Central railroads. We'll also see images showing some of the many railroad employees he befriended during the forties at work in the days of steam. An added bonus will be a finale of Kodachrome color photos taken in the late forties. Be sure to watch this first series in order to fully appreciate the entire trilogy, you won't be disapointed!
